Markin Tubing Quality System Certified
to New IATF 16949:2016 Standard
A culture of continual improvement and
delivered quality drives early adoption.
Markin Tubing, a premier manufacturer
of highly-engineered small-diameter
steel tubing, is proud to be one of the first
organizations to be certified to the new IATF
16949:2016 quality standard.
A major supplier to the automotive industry
globally, Markin Tubing has maintained
certification to the International Automotive
Task Force’s established quality standards for over
twenty years, first with certification to the ISO/
QS 9000 standard in 1998 and then achieving
certification to the ISO/TS-16949 standard in 2005.
This new IATF 16949:2016 standard, a requirement
for automotive suppliers beginning September
2018, brings increased focus on leadership,
risk management, and numerous other topics
paramount to achieving customer satisfaction and
compliance.
“The quality requirements of the automotive
industry are significant for obvious reasons” says
CEO, Daniel Cunniffe. “We take great pride in the
systems we have established here at Markin and the
early certification to the new standard serves as a
testament to the collective focus, commitment and
teamwork of our valued workforce, suppliers, and key
automotive customers.”
“We invest significantly in our people, equipment,
and processes to ensure that we continually exceed
our customers’ expectations for product quality, on-
time delivery, and innovative, value-added solutions”
Cunniffe added. “We are fully committed to our
customer’s success.”
