There will be fierce rivalry on display at the front of the TTOM 2025 Half Marathon as defending champs and rising stars vie for glory across 21km.

T

he 2025 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Half is shaping up to be a showdown like no other. On Sunday, 6 April, a star-studded field of 17 000 runners will battle it out over 21.1km. With past champions looking to defend their titles and newcomers eager to make their mark, this year’ s race is set to be a thrilling contest of speed, determination and strategy.
Thabang Mosiako of Nedbank Running Club returns as the reigning champion, having clinched his first victory in 2024 with a dominant time of 1:04:40. Despite his confidence, the 30-year-old knows he will face tough competition in his quest for a back-toback win.“ I’ m ready to give my best,” Mosiako says.“ Last year’ s win was a dream come true and I’ m determined to keep that momentum going. The course is challenging, but it’ s a race I always look forward to.”
Rising star Bennett Seloyi, 24, from Boxer Athletics Club is another contender to watch. After winning the ASA Marathon Championship in February with a time of 2:20:12, Seloyi is hungry for more success.“ I’ ve been working hard to be at my best for this race,” says Seloyi.“ The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon is a special event,
