Owner preferences have changed, too. Today, they expect straight answers, timely updates, accountability, and easy access to information. They want to know how decisions get made and what they mean for their resort’ s long-term health. The conversation now extends well beyond vacations.
A Catalyst for Change— All Reflected in the Pages of TimeSharing Today
As a journalist, I’ ve stayed in touch with owners, boards, and industry professionals. In 2010, a board member asked me if there was an association for legacy timeshare resorts. I published an article about the request in TimeSharing Today, and received several responses that led me to form the Timeshare Board Members Association( TBMA) in 2011.
In 2025, I transitioned out of TBMA, and my efforts evolved into the formation of the Common-Thread Hospitality Leadership Coalition, which provides education, resources, and solutions to address the challenges facing properties and stakeholders in local and regional communities.
Pre-COVID, a board member asked me to help with the branding and advertising for his legacy timeshare resort. That request led me to launch the Suite Vacation platform, which features condo-style resorts in top vacation destinations.
Sharing a Vision for the Future
A fair question in 2026: does a print magazine still belong in a world of websites, social feeds, podcasts, and artificial intelligence? Our readers answered that one for us. In an age of endless scrolling and AI-generated noise, an independent, trusted voice matters more than ever— and there is still something about holding an issue in your hands, reading at your own pace, away from staring at a screen.
Print earns a trust that a fleeting post cannot, and that is why TimeSharing Today remains committed to the printed edition.
We also know the audience is changing. The readers who circled a week on the calendar in 1991 are being joined by children and grandchildren who grew up online and expect information at a tap. We are not choosing between them. Every issue is also available digitally, with monthly eNewsletters, and an online archive,

so longtime readers keep the magazine they love while a new generation finds us online. Print and digital each do what they do best.
That is how we share a vision for the future: not by chasing every platform, but by staying a steady, principled guide. Whether the next chapter reaches you in the mailbox or on your phone, together we will help owners make sense of it.
What Has Endured
For all that’ s changed in 35 years, a few things haven’ t budged. Families still treasure time together. Friends still make memories on trips taken side by side. Vacation ownership still nudges people to make travel a priority and hold onto traditions that busy life might otherwise crowd out. The destinations change, the technology grows slicker, and the programs grow more flexible, but the pull is the same as ever— people want experiences, relationships, and memories. Those are the things that keep vacation ownership going, and they’ re what keep us going, too.
Looking Toward the Future
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the thousands of owners, readers, board members, advertisers, contributors, and industry leaders who have stood by this magazine. Your trust, loyalty, and willingness to contribute have shaped all that we’ ve done.
Our mission isn’ t changing. We’ ll keep doing what we’ ve done for 35 years— publishing meaningful, credible, independent content, one issue at a time. This magazine has never been just about its editors and writers; it’ s been built by a community of readers who share their experiences, wins, struggles, and hardwon lessons.
Keep the conversation going. Share your story. Send us an article. Tell us about the people, places, and moments that have made vacation ownership mean something to you. Together, we can stay informed, connected, and engaged— keeping the sense of community that has defined this magazine from the beginning.
Someday, today will be the simpler time a new generation looks back on— and we intend to be here for it. Thank you for being part of the journey. We can’ t wait to plan the next issue with you, just as we have for the past 35 years.
