Old Kennyite Lunch Noel Dobbs ( D , 50-55 ) writes :
Seventeen octogenarian Kennyites , who joined the house between 1949 & 1954 , met for an excellent lunch on 24 th October 2023 at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge , hosted by Peter Bainbridge . This was the ninth reunion lunch , the first having been held in 2015 . Initially they were annual gatherings but post-Covid are happening biennially . Grace was said by Anthony Hulbert who included affectionate reference to Housemaster John Manisty . OWCCS
The inaugural Evensong of OW Chapel Choir Soc took place on Saturday 20 th May .
Coralie Ovenden ( Co Ro , 89-20 ) writes :
They came from Austria and Scotland and from everywhere in between ; from university students to those many decades on , both enthusiastic amateurs and classy pros , to relive the happy memories of making great music and friendships .
Christopher Tolley ( Co Ro , 79-17 ) had put together exactly the sort of repertoire that we used to love to sing - Stanford , Walmisley , Rose and Brahms - and had us eating out of his hand within seconds as we sought to match his attention to detail . With the help of wives , friends and some strengthening of the top line , a goodly sound was raised and great fun was had . I am prepared to bet that no Evensong anywhere in the country
had a more sonorous cantor that day . A very good curry was shared by a number of us afterwards .
