Hon James ( Jamie ) Richard Canning Weir ( G , 62-67 ); died 24.10.2022 . Brother of GAW . Strathclyde University1968-72 , BA Econ . Assistant to chairman Weir Grp International 1972-84 ; vice-president LF Rothschild , Unterberg Tobin 1984-6 ; director Hambros Advanced Technology Trust plc 1987-90 ; director Hambro European Ventures 1990-1998 ; Partner Duke Street Capital 1998-2005 . He often credited Win Coll for ‘ sending him out ready with confidence ’. Following his retirement in 2004 , he turned his amazing funding abilities to philanthropy , supporting people with intellectual disabilities , as well as the American Cathedral in Paris . He married ( 1 ) Haude Chantal Gabrielle Charpentier in 1977 , ( 2 ) Dorothy Atkinson in 1988 and ( 3 ) Jacqueline , who survives him , together with 2 daughters from the first marriage .

R . president , Capt . of Brasenose Cricket , Authentics . Coopers & Lybrand , chartered accountants 1972-85 , A . C . A . 1975 . He moved to Vienna in 1985 and was PWC Austria finance director and European Leader for the Forest , Paper and Packaging Industry Group . Over the years he gained significant experience in Central and Eastern Europe . He retired in 2015 and worked as a part-time consultant . He was on the Board of Directors of the Austro- British Society and worked as a Board Member for UK Citizens in Austria . His great interests in opera and classical music were lived to the full in Vienna , as well as his golf and walking . He married Susan Latham in 1976 .
Michael Townsend Radmore ( G , 64-68 ); died 8.3.2023 . Son of GTR . Duberly Prize , VIII 1967-8 , XV 1967- 8 . Mons Officer Cadet School ; RAC Bovington , Armourers and Brasiers Prize for Young Officers ; 2nd Lt R Hussars 1968-71 . Rennies Consolidated
Holdings Ltd , South Africa 1971-6 ; ACIS 1976 ; Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd , Hong Kong 1976-87 ; managing director , Neighbourhood Stores plc UK 1987-91 ; proprietor , The Radmore Consultancy 1991 . His main retirement activity of note was golf , which he would play at least once a week . He married Jane Acton in 1975 , who survives him together with their son , another son predeceased .
Thomas Francis Hutchinson ( E , 66-71 ); died 31.12.2022 . Chartered Surveyor . He formed Egerton Commercial in the early ‘ 80s , which undertook both commercial and residential work , originally based in Mount Street . Between 2004 and 2018 he headed up JSS Egerton which was a joint venture company with Jackson-Stops . He specialised in lease-enfranchisement , valuations and applying his considerable experience when appearing as an expert-witness . He was an avid bridge player , keen fly fisherman , kept a well-stocked cellar and loved reading a ‘ broad ’ range of books from Science Fiction to Classical Civilisation . Often found in the garden tending a bonfire , his vegetable patch or growing / chopping trees . He died suddenly and unexpectedly on the shooting field , doing what he loved . He married Laura Moorhead in 1981 , who survives him together with 2 daughters and 2 sons .
John Paul Francis Churchill ( E , 70-75 ); died 28.11.2022 . Son of JCKC . Golf team 1973-5 . Insurance companies , Bolton Group 1977-9 ; Bradstock , Blunt & Crawley Ltd 1979-83 ; Willis Faber & Dumas 1983-9 ; Leslie & Godwin AXL Ltd 1989 ; KM Dastur 2010 . A keen golfer and a great wit , he loved returning to Winchester to fish on the Itchen . He married Sonja Shields , who survives him together with their 2 daughters .
Andrew Jon Burke-Smith ( E , 77-81 ); died 9.10.2022 . Fencing Team , Co Prae . Exhibitioner , Pembroke College Cambridge 1982-85 , MA Law .
Managing Director , Goldman Sachs , 1997-2004 ; he then moved in 2004 to Adelphi Capital LLP , where he was a partner for 18 years . He married Katrin Kandel in 1991 , who survives him together with their daughter and son .
Morgan Alexander Charles Slessor ( A , 80-85 ); died 22.11.2022 . Head of House , Soccer and Cricket . Hatfield College , University of Durham . Over the years he worked as a Financial Advisor , both self-employed and for Nat West , and latterly moved to Estate Agency . In his life , he faced a number of challenges , not all of which he could successfully battle . A man of strong Christian beliefs , his sense of reflection , faith and pragmatism through the tough times was comforting . He always had a piece of his own life philosophy to share to match the moment . He married Celine , who survives him , together with their daughter .
