was a fruitful year for the closed-
ended sector. It continues to evolve,
away from its heritage as a structure
for conventional equity funds and
towards alternative assets classes. It is
also broadening its customer base as
self-directed private investors become
more convinced of the performance
argument for closed-ended funds.
