While some investors may wish to see a longer track record before they invest , its manager Michael Scott ran the
Schroder High Yield Opportunities fund between August 2012 and September 2018 , when again it was the number-one fund in its sector . Nevertheless , Scott said that he has already experienced a full market cycle since he took charge of Man GLG High Yield Opportunities , but one that has been compressed into little over three years . “ First we had a crisis driven by the pandemic , with the steepest decline in GDP since the Second World War , followed by a vigorous recovery driven by stimulus from authorities ,” he explained .
