Sean Kenney is a renowned, award-winning artist behind Nature Connects, creating sculptures for enjoyment around the globe for over 10 years. Before he started created these sculptures, Sean was a cartoonist, a graphic artist and an interactive designer. Coral Reef "As a habitat for seahorses and zillions of other creatures, coral reefs are a vibrant, colorful, amazing visual treat. Just a single square foot contains so much complexity of life; I wanted this sculpture to be just as bold and visually diverse." — Sean Kenney He now has more fun creating art with LEGO bricks. Most of his projects start out as pencil sketches and many have serious engineering inside, but in between it all he loves to sit down with a big pile of LEGO pieces and just figure it all out. After all, that's the best part, right? With this newest Nature Connects exhibit, Sean Kenney hopes to inspire you to appreciate nature and to consider the plight of endangered and vulnerable wildlife. The new exhibit brings these engaging animal sculptures together with information about the conservationists who protect the real animals — from conservation heroes like Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to the Louisville Zoo staff working hard to build a better future for wildlife.
