O
ne day isn’t enough to celebrate the wonder of our planet and
promote the need to protect it — so the Louisville Zoo is hosting a
month-long party! During the month of April, enjoy weekend activities
and cool displays by our eco-partners to learn how you can do your part
to help our planet. Plus, there will be ZooPoopyDoo compost and mulch
sales, weekend recycling programs, fun contests and more. Here are

Earth Day Kick-Off
See how local students turn trash into treasure in our annual Trashfor-
mation Art Contest. View winning displays and attend the press confer-
ence at 11 a.m. where we’ll announce this year’s winners. There will
also be a Jam session led by Louisville Orchestra Music Director Teddy
Abrams for students entering in the new musical instrument category. Monday, April 10

Eggstravaganza
Hop on over for a special day fi lled with EGGciting fun. Meet and greet
the Easter bunny, enjoy some EGGcellent games and watch as our Zoo
animals take part in some EGGstraordinary fun. Be sure to bring your
basket and join us for egg hunts for children 11 and under.
Sunday, April 30, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (stay until 6 p.m.)
Earth Day Celebration / LG&E Discount Day
Celebrate Earth Day with special keeper talks, more than 20 community
eco-partner displays (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and $8.25 Zoo admission all day

Company. Plus FREE parking! Visit LG&E and KU’s Mini City display and
