As Louisville Zoo donors and members , we know you appreciate and value everything we offer your family , the community and region . Through your financial investment , you voice your support of an organization that provides top-notch animal care and enrichment , world-class science education and ground-breaking exhibitry and species conservation efforts .
Your Zoo memories will last a lifetime and you can feel good knowing you help us fulfill our mission “ to better the bond between people and our planet ” and offer only the best to the animals entrusted to us . What our team does every single day is possible because you care .
Your Louisville Zoo and the bears , gorillas , tigers , elephants , flamingos and hundreds of other animals that call your Zoo home depend on you . Our team works very hard to care for the animals and offer you a clean , safe , educational , familyfriendly environment . However , annual revenue from general Zoo admission , membership , rides , the gift shop and concessions only makes up about 80 % of our annual operating budget .
Philanthropic gifts help round out our annual financial needs and provide new , innovative exhibits and experiences to the community .
Every gift , regardless of size , does truly make a difference .
You can choose to support your Zoo in a variety of ways :
• Add $ 5 , $ 10 , $ 25 or more to your next Membership renewal in support of the Annual Fund
• Plan to attend the annual fundraising event , Zoofari ! ( adult-only )
• Set up a monthly recurring gift to the Annual Fund
• Upgrade to a Zoo license plate next time you renew car tags
• Make a gift to the Leadership Capital Campaign
• Include the Zoo in your estate plans with a bequest , charitable remainder trust , charitable lead trust , or name the Louisville Zoo as beneficiary on an insurance policy
