METAZOO DISCOVERY CENTER Safari Day Camps & Family Programs Spend your school breaks at the wildest camp in town! All camps include Zoo walks, animal presentations, at- traction rides, and up-close encounters with live Zoo ambassadors, plus our extended hours for parents continue through the winter and spring! Choose an option below based on your child’s grade level. Parents should provide a lunch and snack for their child each day. M embers : $43 per day N on M embers : $49 Prek – K: Snow Safari Baby it’s cold outside! Discover the wonders of winter; make your own snow and explore the sights and sounds of the season. 1 – 3 Grade: Cool Cats Snow, wind and freezing temps are no problem for these fabulous fe- lines. Chill out at the Zoo and learn all about their amazing adaptations. 4 – 6 Grade: The Arctic Edge Discover the challenges explor- ers face when attempting to learn about some of the world’s harshest environments. 2 – 5 years old with Adult H ours : 9 – 10:30 a . m . M embers : $5 adult /$15 child N on -M embers : $10 adult /$20 child Join us for this special program specifically designed for young minds! Each month, we’ll explore a new topic and participate in activity-based learning to discover how little learners can make a big impact on our world! Each program will include circle time, a live animal presentation and a short walk. Because of space limitations each participant (adult and child) must register for this program in advance. Join us as we explore our winter inhabitants and discover how our living classroom provides plenty of learning, even when it’s cold outside! I Love Animals February 4 We’re showing our love for our favorite valentines: the animals who call the Louisville Zoo home! Spring Peepers March 4 Adorable animals are born every spring. We will learn about baby animals and how their parents take care of them. Save Ani- mals From Extinction Learn about the national S.A.F.E. project and discover how the Zoo supports the conservation of ani- mals around the world.
