VOLUNTEERS
Summertime
Helping Hands
Humana Volunteers
$700 in plants requires lots of planting help! Thanks to
the Humana Financial Operations/Commercial Team of
volunteers who assisted the Zoo’s horticulture staff with
getting $700 worth of plants in place on the green
HerpAquarium roof! Additional groups from Humana
also used their green talents to help us get ready
for the opening of the Butterflies n’ Blooms exhibit
this spring: Humana’s PPI/Post Pay Audit Team, CCM
Provider Support Services Team, and Medicare EDT
Enrollment Team.
Mercy Academy
Humana didn’t supply our only volunteers this season
who have green thumbs. Thank you Mercy Academy
freshman for assisting our horticulture department
again this year with mulching, planting, clean up and
more!
Other groups that helped the Zoo
(March through June 2018)
• Greek Life – Carroll University –
Waukesha, Wisconsin
• CVCA, Cardiac Care for Pets
• The Nielsen Company
Thank you to all our volunteers for
your support — you truly are the best!
Louisville Zoo Youth Board
Thanks to the 235 teens who gave their precious
gift of time this summer to volunteer at the Zoo.
The president and vice-president of our Youth Board
graduated this year, so it was time to pass on the
torch. Welcome to our new leadership
