METAZOO FALL & WINTER CAMPS Hours: Drop Off: 8 – 9 a.m. / Camp: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. / Pick up: 4 – 5 p.m. Pricing: $53 per day for Members / $59 per day for Non-Members Experience the wildest camps in town! All camps include Zoo walks, animal presentations and up-close encounters with Zoo animal ambassadors. Plus, our extended hours for parents continues through the winter! Choose an option below based on your child’s grade level. Parents should provide a lunch and snack for their child each day. FALL CAMPS WINTER CAMPS OCTOBER 8 – 9 JANUARY 2 – 4 Pre K – Kindergarten Pre K – Kindergarten We’ll turn up the curiosity in this camp that will encourage campers to use their observation skills to learn about the world around them. Animals must work to survive; to find food and build a home, and to protect themselves from other animals. Come and learn the ways animals work (and work together) and observe animals at work right here at the Zoo. World of Wonder Grades 1 – 3 Keeper for a Day From daily routines, veterinary care, and enrichment, campers will learn from the Zoo keeper staff about what it takes to care for the animals that call your Zoo home. Discover the important bond that keepers and animals share. Grades 4 – 6 Saving Species Come explore the important work zoos and aquariums are doing to save animals and conserve wild places around the world. Explore what you can do to help! 20 • Louisville Zoo Trunkline • Fall 2018 Animals at Work Grades 1 – 3 Wild Winter Wildlife is everywhere – even in your own backyard. In this camp, we’ll explore animals that don’t fly south when the weather gets cold. Take a walk to the wetlands trail to explore native wildlife, and learn how animals in Kentucky adapt to the winter weather. Grades 4 – 6 Survival Skills Animals have amazing adaptations to help them survive in the wild, but how would you do? In this camp, we’ll learn about how animals adapt and learn some survival skills of our own.
