SUPERHERO DUEL IN 2016
Captain America 3 will open on the same
day as Batman vs. Superman in 2016

CHANNING TATUM GOES HALF-WOLF, HALF-ALBINO, ASS-KICKER IN
THIS UPCOMING SCI-FI ACTION HIT
T
he team behind The
Matrix, Lana and Andy
Wachowski, are getting
back into the sci-fi genre this
summer with Jupiter Ascending.
The sci-fi genre has fared rather
well with the pair in the past
after they worked on The Matrix
series and 2013 film Cloud Atlas.
The film boasts rather a starstudded cast, with the main
roles of Caine and Jupiter
Jones being played by hunk,
Channing Tatum, and the
rather wonderful, Mila Kunis.
Other casting members include
Sean Bean as Stinger (who is
described as a Han Solo type of

character), Eddie Redmayne as
Balem the King, and Douglas
Booth as Titus. Terry Gilliam
will also star in a small, but vital
role.
Jupiter Ascending sees Jupiter
Jones – a low-wage Russian
immigrant – find herself
as a marked woman. In an
interplanetary rule where your
DNA means everything, Jones’
DNA happens to be identical
to that of the Queen of the
Universe. Bounty hunter Caine
is dispatched to kill Jones, but
instead of killing her, he ends up
falling for the young worker.
If you thought Cloud Atlas was
slightly “out there”, Jupiter
Ascending could send your mind
crazy. With Channing Tatum as
an ass-kicking half-wolf, halfalbino, it looks set to be some
of the same mind-twisting stuff
from The Wachowski’s.

superhero movies on the same
weekend is practically unheard
of. But both Marvel and Warner
Bros have said they have no
intentions of moving anytime
soon, particularly Marvel who
claimed the spot first.
Warner Bros president of
domestic distribution, Dan
Fellman, spoke to Bloomberg
and said that the studio doesn’t
intend to move, “It doesn’t
make a lot of sense for two huge
superhero films to open on the
same date but there is a lot of
time between now and 6/5/16”,
he said. “However at this time, we
are not considering a change of

Someone has to give, but with
Batman vs. Superman having
moved once, don’t be surprised
if Marvel back down first this
time.
