Iger spoke during Disney's annual meeting of shareholders and said, “We have plans for a new Cars movie and on top of that Brad Bird is already working on a great story for a truefilm.co.uk Cars movie is in the works, but did not elaborate any further. News of this third instalment was first leaked last year when one of the voice actors told of the project being in development. Earlier in March, before this latest news, it was said that a Cars short film would be due for release in 2015. This new announcement however, sounds like a different project entirely, and one where we may not see Cars 3 until 2018 or 2020. Iger also announced that a fifth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise is in development, but has not yet been given the green light. We do already know the title of the film though, Pirates of the Caribbean Dean Men Tell No Tales – the same name of the ride in Disney World, Florida. Other news suggests that the films original release date of 10 July 2015 has been scrapped and that the studio is now hoping for a summer 2016 release. If you’re wondering, “why the name change away from the original 80s series?” Let Captain Dickinson (Ice Cube) explain, “Ladies, nobody cared about the Jump Street reboot, but you got lucky. So now this department has invested a lot of money to make sure Jump Street keeps going. The only problem is the Koreans bought the church back, so we're moving you to 22 Jump Street.” 21 Jump Street saw a few cameos from the original actors such as Johnny Depp and Peter DeLuise. This time, the filmmakers have succeeded in getting a cameo appearance from Brad Pitt, who plays a librarian at the university where Tatum and Hill are undercover. As before there's tons of action, car chases, shoot-outs and funny costumes. But this time there’s also a random scene with an octopus to add to the craziness. “We're like a power couple,” Tatum says to Hill. “We're like Rihanna and Chris Brown,” Hill adds. “You're a good dancer, sometimes you're meaner than I'd like you to be.” 22 Jump Street makes it’s way onto UK screens on 6 June. 6 JUNE DIRECTORS Phil Lord & Chris Miller CAST Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Dave Franco, Ice Cube, Amber Stevens Your Reviews and True News Photo: © Sony Pictures Releasing 10 new Incredibles film.” The Incredibles is possibly one of the most-wanted sequels from Disney and Pixar and this news is sure to excite a lot of fans. The project is in the very early stages, but the fact that Disney and Pixar will be continuing the adventures of The Incredibles is reason enough to celebrate. Iger also announced that a new 11
