Troup Volunteer Firefighter of the Year 2020
Steve Voigt joined STEVE VOIGT the Troup Volunteer Fire Department in 2001 . He is known as the “ muscle man ” on the fire department but he has a soft side too . Voight has been a Santa double for children of all ages in the Troup Christmas parades for many years .
Currently the director of parts and service at Peltier / Nissan in Tyler , Voight served for 12 years as a police officer .

Michael Gilliam started his service with the

Troup Volunteer Fire Department in May of 2019 . This 29-year-old lives in Concord with his wife Kristan and their two young sons , Alton and Euil .
Michael works for Geonix Oilfield Supply in Kilgore and continues to work on his firefighting credentials to better serve our community .
