Work History : I started out as an accountant after I graduated college at Furman University … 4 years in , my mentor and instructor Joe Lopez Jr qualified for the PGA Sr Tour and gave me a call offering me a chance to get back into the golf business and become his assistant professional . This change in path led to times at almost every type of facility ( Muni , private , public , driving range …) and into so many different ( media ) arenas in an effort to promote the game . Throw in a brief stint with a marginal ( at best ) playing career … and working for the PGA of America following in Rick Martino ’ s position as Director of Instruction .
Accomplishments : GOLF Magazine TOP 100 ( 2012-present ). Golf Digest Top 50 ( 2014-2016 , 2024 …). LPGA player instructor to numerous players over a 15-year period ( including 2-time World # 1 Stacy Lewis ).
Awards : I have been blessed to win 2 National Awards ( 2018 Horton Smith / Professional Development and 2024 PGA Teacher of the Year .

We offer junior lessons and custom classes but are privileged to have “ the Little Course ” as part of our facility which houses the Tenn PGA and Tenn Jr Golf Foundation that offers an immense amount of every form of PGA and industry junior training .
