A record number of UC San Diego alumni , students , parents and friends returned to campus for the fun of Homecoming 2021 . With in-person events as well as online access , this year brought out the Triton spirit in all forms .
TRITON TAILGATE & CONCERT
Trailblazing former Athletics Director Judy Sweet ( center , with Athletics Director Earl Edwards and Associate Vice Chancellor Cheryl Harrelson ) served as the Grand Marshal for the Triton Tailgate and Concert , featuring Ozomatli , whose unique Latin fusion kept the crowd moving all night long .
ATHLETICS
This was the first true Homecoming for D1 Triton Athletics ! Though the men ’ s water polo and soccer teams fell in their matches , the women ’ s soccer team bested UC Riverside . Go Tritons !
