" It ' s ironic that I write about emerging tech because I ’ m a minimalist when it comes to owning gadgets ,” says UC San Diego public information officer Liezel Labios , MS ’ 10 , PhD ’ 12 . “ I ' ve had the same laptop for eight years and was even a bit late in owning a smartphone . But next-gen wearables are especially exciting , and a lot of that innovation is happening right here . I could see myself sporting some of these in the future should they hit the market .” |
