The UC San Diego alumni network is stronger now than ever before . This past June , we welcomed more than 8,000 graduates into the alumni community . Today , there are nearly 200,000 alumni worldwide . As your chancellor , I appreciate the tremendous impact our alumni have in the world . Your creativity and courage are an inspiration to our greater community and our current students .
Nothing makes us prouder than to see alumni thrive in their careers and life journeys . That is why I am working closely with the UC San Diego Alumni office and its board of directors to ensure that you have the resources needed for ongoing success . We have upgraded our career assistance resources with Handshake — an online portal exclusively for Tritons to support your professional development at any stage . You can view career opportunities and hire our remarkable graduates , register for career fairs or take part in career advising . As Tritons , you should know that even after you have left this campus , UC San Diego is here to support you and your professional success .
