For Christine Clark ’ 06 hiking on the John Muir Trail was one of the most surreal experiences of her life , given she had slim hiking or camping experience before setting out . “ I still look back and can ’ t believe I did that !” she says . “ But I would definitely do it again .”
Triton ’ s managing editor Malinda Danziger ’ 00 combed the student newspaper archives and tracked down many of its former staffers . “ I was so impressed by the dedication of alumni who worked for the paper — they ’ ve captured history for future generations of Tritons . Although I was never part of the newspaper , I feel like its biggest fan now .”
The newspaper photo shoot by Erik Jepsen ’ 10 was in many ways a homecoming for the photographer . “ As a Guardian alumnus , to photograph 50 years of Guardian history and see past and present combine … unreal ! I eagerly look forward to 50 more years of outstanding collegiate journalism .”
