BLOOD MOON RISING

UC SAN DIEGO ALUMNUS and Triton magazine contributing photographer Erik Jepsen , Roosevelt ’ 10 , shows his dedication with this nighttime shot of a total lunar eclipse of a supermoon over the Stuart Collection ’ s Fallen Star installation . Says Jepsen , “ Spiders were crawling around me on the ground , hand bitten and body contorted , I waited until the moon filled my frame . The scene lasted ten minutes before the moon was gone , but I was able to capture the photo ! Success !” The effort was definitely worth it ; this shot won ’ t come around again until October 8 , 2033 .
