Jessica Momberg , Revelle , is a certified nurse midwife in San Diego . She previously served in the Peace Corps from 2008 – 2010 in Guatemala as a Healthy Schools volunteer . She later worked as director of rural operations for Partner for Surgery , a medical mission program , before studying nurse midwifery at Columbia University . |
Tomás Olivia , Marshall , has been elected mayor of El Centro , Calif . He says his areas of focus are homelessness , parks and recreation and affordable housing .

Britton Boras , PhD , a senior principal scientist at Pfizer , was part of the team that developed the Paxlovid COVID-19 antiviral pill , the first oral antiviral treatment for COVID-19 to receive FDA emergency-use authorization .
