In a year that was … unique , to say the least , Tritons engaged with each other and the university like never before . Here ’ s how we came together to learn , share support and take part in our alumni community in ways that may even keep us better connected in the future .
Alumni Signature Events were all held virtually , bringing Triton spirit and meaningful experiences to alumni the world over . Where other universities canceled events outright , more than 3,200 Tritons attended the 20 + events of Homecoming @ Home — from a livestreamed tailgate concert and cooking demos to reunion celebrations and an eSports Tournament . Alumni also charted their own course for the virtual Triton 5K — to date , 470 teams from 14 countries have raised $ 41.4M for student scholarships .
Nearly 600 people attended the Triton Leaders Conference to learn and act on advancing equity during a year that called for profound social change . Over 65 presenters spoke at sessions that can all be found at : tritonmag . com / TLC2021
