Eric Halgren , muir , is a professor of radiology and vice chair for basic research in neurosciences at UC San Diego .

1972

John E . Karayan , Revelle , published a
chapter , “ Strategic Tax Issues Confronting managers of global Enterprises ,” in the book global Enterprise management : New Perspectives on Challenges and Future Developments .
Jerold Turner , muir , retired as a superior court judge in Kern County , Calif ., after 23 years on the bench .

1973

Alfred M . Shamble , Revelle , retired after 38 years in semiconductor operations and engineering management .

1975

Elliot Rabin , muir , created a custom home
project called “ Louvers by Design ,” which won the 2014 LuciteLux JUST ImAgINE Award for his original and creative design .

1977

Christina Flores-Speer , muir , retired in 2009 after teaching elementary school and serving as a principal .
John Aguilar , Ph . D ., retired from Arizona State University ’ s Department of Anthropology in 1999 and has since spent his time playing music , painting and serving as an active member of his emeritus college .

1978

Marcia McNutt , Ph . D ., the first female
editor-in-chief of the prestigious journal Science , has been nominated to serve as the first female president of the U . S . National Academy of Sciences .

1979

Ran Anbar , Revelle , founded Center Point medicine , a pediatric and adolescent medical hypnosis and counseling practice in La Jolla .
Darlene Hicks , muir , will have her art and catalog essay exhibited in “ What Was , Is ” at the Bread & Salt art gallery in San Diego .
Leigh Sawyer , Warren , retired after a 30-year career at the U . S . Public Health Service . She served in West Africa during the Ebola outbreak response and was featured in the Journal of the American Veterinary medical Association .
