“Performing on stage at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is an experience
that student groups can’t find anywhere else,” says Jane Tougouma,
group tour sales manager for Destination Cleveland. “This unique
activity is the perfect culmination of a trip spent exploring the vibrant
musical heritage of Cleveland.”
One of the Hall of Fame’s popular school group tour packages
is “Classical Music Rocks.” Students will attend a classical music
performance of the renowned Cleveland Orchestra, and they will tour
the orchestra’s home venue, Severance Hall. In addition to seeing
the theater’s backstage areas, they can take master classes from the
orchestra’s musicians.
At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, students will learn about the genre’s
history and most prominent figures, from Johnny Cash and the Beatles
to today’s hitmakers. Exhibits use music history to illustrate science
and social studies lessons. Student music groups can top off their
experience by performing at the hall of fame’s Rock Hall.
