Title IX / Gender Based Sexual Misconduct Policy Overview:
Trine University is committed to creating a community free from violence. The University will not tolerate sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, or stalking as defined by State and Federal laws. Below is a brief introduction with resources of our Sexual Misconduct Policy. For more information access: http:// www. trine. edu / campussafety / TitleIX. pdf. Trine University’ s Title IX Policy prohibits discrimination or harassment based upon gender in services or benefits offered by the university. Trine University also recognizes that the decision about whether to bring allegations against another student, faculty / staff member can be complicated and challenging. The survivor of violence or harassment has the right to have any and all incidents against their person treated seriously and the right to be treated with dignity. All university personnel whom are considered a Responsible employee as defined below are also encouraged to immediately refer sexual assault survivors to the Director of Campus Safety or the Dean of Students / Title IX Coordinator. If you have questions / concerns and wish to speak with someone confidentially regarding a matter such as this, you are urged to contact Counseling Services @ 260.665.4172 or after-hours 260.446.1867.

Additionally if you or someone you know has been assaulted, it is IMPERATIVE the person seeks MEDICAL attention IMMEDIATLEY. * Seeking medical attention does NOT mean you have to pursue legal options.
