Welcome to the September issue of TRIMESTER and to all the new staff and students who
have joined us since our last issue in June. Please ensure that you register with the Library
to gain access to our wide range of resources. See Page 2 for more details on our services.
The focus of this issue is mainly educational, with aspects of continuing professional
development and changes in technology which is so important in modern living. On page 3,
I report on the EAHIL conference (European Association for Health Information Libraries)
which I attended as an EAHIL Council Member, in July this year. The theme of this years
conference was Health Information without Borders.
In addition to this issue, Geraldine, has compiled a separate supplement which covers the
technological developments in mHealth, which is also reported here on page 5. The mHealth
supplement includes the various mobile communications which have been discussed in
previous editions of TRIMESTER over the last five years.
