WILLIAMSBURG-WHITLEY COUNTY AIRPORT
Williamsburg-Whitley County Airport , nestled just off the Cumberland Falls Highway almost in the heart of Whitley County , has become a great benefit both locally and regionally .
In 2021 the airport broke ground on a new 13,000 square foot hangar that now features 10 more bays . The project was funded by a $ 980,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration .
Overseen by an appointed board , the airport has experienced several improvements during the course of its lifetime — and continue the process of continuing to further improve the existing facility to match the already excellent customer care provided by airport staff .

The airport has easy access to area lakes , campgrounds , local water parks , and the well-known Cumberland Falls State Park . Currently the airport houses the county ' s E-911 Dispatch Center .
