apy Department offers patients fully certified staff and services such as Diagnostic Radiography and Computed Tomography ( CT ) 24 hours a day , seven days a week . Knox County Hospital also offers fluoroscopy , sonography , ACR Accredited and FDA Certified Mammography , non-invasive cardiovascular studies , echocardiography , transesophageal echocardiography , and nuclear medicine studies as well . The hospital ’ s laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day , seven days a week ( including holidays ) with highly-trained medical technologists , medical laboratory technician ’ s and phlebotomists .
The hospital was established in 1959 in downtown Barbourville . The facility moved to its current location on Hospital Drive in July 2001 .
Barbourville ARH Hospital is a nonprofit provider of health care for Knox
County and the surrounding areas . In cooperation with its excellent medical staff , dedicated employees and other local health care providers , Barbourville ARH Hospital offers a complete healthcare delivery system .
