Shopping: Monterrey is a shopper’s paradise and offers a wide variety of both national and international
brands. The Hotel is located next to the Plaza San Agustin and Fashion Drive, the largest shopping malls
in the city. TIKAL is considered to be the best place for high quality arts and crafts and it is worth a visit
even if it is to see the variety and beauty of arts and crafts from around Mexico.
Dining: There is a very wide selection of restaurants within walking distance
from the Millenium Hotel. The conference app will have a website with recommendations.
Currency: The current exchange rate between the Mexican Peso to the U.S. Dollars
is $1.00USD = $19.20MXN and this fluctuates on a daily basis.
There are several money exchange places.
Safety & Security: The area where the Hotel is located is considered safe.
However, as with any big city, it is very important to watch out for your personal
safety and belongings.
