R & D Engineer
In 2015 I completed my bachelor ’ s degree in Integrated Design from The Southern University of Denmark in Odense . I continued my studies at The Technical University of Denmark and completed my master ’ s degree in Design and Innovation in 2017 . My wish for continuing my studies began during my time at TRESU where I did some R & D work . Contrary to customer orders , R & D work allows you much more free space to generate ideas and

innovate . Furthermore , you get to do practical work such as testing the hypothesis you have set up . By taking the master ’ s degree in Design and Innovation I increased my chances of finding work in R & D departments .
During my bachelor ’ s degree I was a trainee at TRESU in the engineering department for Ancillary products . After the internship I worked for TRESU as a student assistant in the engineering department and helped out during holiday periods . During my time as a trainee and student assistant I worked on many user-customised constructions that were implemented around the world . Furthermore I was given the opportunity to work on the development of carbon fibre chambers where my task was to design and construct the moulds for vacuum infusion .
In February 2017 I began my work as an R & D Engineer in a newly established department , TRESU Link . The purpose of the new department is to gather core technologies into a knowledge database , to optimise our technologies and to simplify the product portfolio . My work consists of being the facilitator of a simplifying project where I examine the platforms and architecture of existing products . I also work on the further development of existing products , carbon fibre chambers and new corrosion resistant surface technologies .
What makes my job exciting is the fact that I am challenged professionally every day , and if you show the will and energy , the only thing stopping you , is practically yourself . You are also hands-on with your projects , and it is possible to put your influence on the department and company even though you are newly graduated . I have the possibility of presenting and implementing new methods and standards .
My assignments are interesting and challenging , but at the same time I work for a company where there is space for having fun together along with our professional tasks . My workday is characterised by an informal atmosphere in which it is easy to work .
