Working at TRESU Group R&D Engineer In 2014 I completed my education as B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at The Southern University of Denmark, Odense. Immediately after I went on to study a M.Sc. degree in Applied Mechanics at Aarhus University, Department of Engineering. “I’M HAVING SOME EXCITING AND INSPIRATIONAL TASKS IN MY JOB AT TRESU” ADMIR JONUZ, 27 YEARS R&D ENGINEER, TRESU GROUP After my bachelor education I chose to continue my studies as I was still eager to achieve more knowledge within certain specific areas. I had a special interest in numerical calculations such as FEM (Finite Element Method) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). My Master’s degree has given me a theoretical know-how but also an understanding on how to apply my knowledge in practise. During my bachelor education I worked as a trainee at TRESU where I got plenty of opportunity to challenge myself. Even though I was a trainee, I could come up with ideas and inputs, which then would be reviewed through a professional dialogue with my colleagues. Furthermore, after my internship I was given the chance to manage a project during the summer holiday period which I had worked on as trainee. This gave me the opportunity to further develop myself and achieve more knowledge on a technical and managerial level. After my period as trainee, I com- pleted my bachelor thesis at TRESU. In March 2016 I started working as an Engineer in the Engineering Department at TRESU. Three months later I moved to a newly established department, TRESU Link, as R&D Engineer. The purpose of the new department is to gather core technologies into a knowledge database, to optimise our technologies and to simplify the product portfolio. In my daily work I am dealing with a number of technological aspects such as the TRESU drying and chilling systems where I look at their functionality and try to find ways to optimise and simplify these products. I also act as internal advisor and sparring partner in relation to numerical calculations and technical solutions. As a newly graduated Engineer, B.Sc. and M.Sc., it has been very special that I was given the chance to influence on things and get responsibility so soon in my career. During my work I also gain practical experience through hands-on access to the projects. This means for instance that I have been on a commissioning assignment in the US and furthermore have carried out a number of development/test assignments. Apart from having some exciting and inspirational tasks, I feel very lucky to work in a culture where the colleagues are good at working together regardless of their titles. There is room for both professional sparring and to have fun which makes my daily work and the cooperation with my colleagues even better.
