If you really want to get to know someone, ask them one simple question: What does luxury mean to you?
You’ ll get wildly different answers every single time and that’ s what makes it so interesting.
Sure, luxury can still mean designer furniture or a world-class spa getaway. I won’ t argue with that. But over the last few years, I think many of us have quietly shifted our definition. These days, it’ s often the simple luxuries that feel the most indulgent.
It’ s not always a five-star hotel. Sometimes it’ s stepping into a rain shower after a long day, turning the world off, and then crawling into bed wrapped in your favourite sheets. Or that perfectly made cup of coffee enjoyed in front of the fireplace on a snowy Sunday afternoon, with absolutely nowhere you need to be. Those moments matter. They slow us down. They remind us why home is our favourite place to be.
That same mindset is shaping how we design our homes. Luxury today isn’ t about excess or over-the-top opulence. It’ s about smart, thoughtful choices that make everyday life feel better like a beautifully designed gourmet appliance from Euro-Line Appliances that turns cooking into something you actually look forward to or a statement light fixture from Living Lighting that completely changes the look of a room. Small updates. Big impact.
As we look ahead to 2026, this issue brings together the best of luxury and the trends that are shaping how we live now and what’ s coming next. It’ s one of my favourite issues of the year because inspiration is everywhere. Maybe it’ s as simple as swapping out a light fixture. Or maybe it’ s finally the nudge you need to rethink an entire space.
My hope is that this issue leaves you inspired, gives you ideas you can actually use, and helps you discover a design style that truly feels like you.
Here’ s to finding luxury in the moments that matter most.
