Perspectives Matthew Long, AIA John Davis, PE, PTOE Jeffrey Abramson, PE Troy Robillard, PE Matthew Long, AIA, joined Ayres Associates as manager of architecture, bringing more than 25 years of experience in a variety of architectural services. Long is based in Ayres Associates’ Eau Claire office. Long is responsible for supervision of the seven full-time architectural design and production staff. He also serves as project manager on selected projects, where he is responsible for client contact, budgeting, directing the efforts of the design team, and overall project supervision. He is experienced in building information modeling and is trained in Revit Architecture design software. He is a highly competent project manager with extensive experience in feasibility studies, detailed programs, developing cost estimates and specifications, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. His experience includes design and construction for new facilities, additions, and renovations for highrise, large, medium, and small building projects. He has provided services in the commercial, educational, financial, health care, hospitality, industry, government, mixed-use, office, recreation, religious, residential, and transportation sectors. Long earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1987. He became a registered professional architect in Wisconsin in 1994 and a certified construction documents technologist in 1992. John Davis, PE, PTOE, has been named manager of traffic engineering, supervising traffic staff who provide services throughout the nation from multiple offices. Jeffrey Abramson, PE, has been promoted to transportation group manager for the western half of Wisconsin, overseeing staff in Eau Claire and Madison. Troy Robillard, PE, has been promoted to transportation group manager overseeing staff in the eastern half of Wisconsin in the Waukesha and Green Bay area offices. Davis has 29 years of traffic engineering experience in the private and public sectors, including serving the traffic divisions in large metropolitan areas. Abramson has been with Ayres Associates for 19 years and has managed highway projects ranging from local roads to interstate highways. Robillard, who has 14 years of urban and rural highway engineering experience, also serves as a project manager. He has experience in both design and construction phases.
