Mechanical-electricalplumbing engineering key ingredients to California restaurant chain rollouts

The patrons frequenting Finney ’ s Crafthouse & Kitchen are as varied as the craft brews being poured and the made-from-scratch eats coming from the kitchen .

Perhaps it ’ s the casual , comfortable atmosphere . Maybe it ’ s the inviting vibe given off from the classic rock sounding from the speakers , the charm of the reclaimed wood accents , the myriad of sports-playing TVs , or the vintage photos decorating the brick walls . Whatever the draw , Brad Finefrock likes to think there ’ s something for everyone at the familyowned and operated regional restaurant chain for which he serves as director of business development .
“ I think we would best be described as a family-friendly restaurant and bar that ’ s well-suited for all generations ,” said Finefrock ( pronounced “ Finney Frock .”) “ We have what we call our ‘ mini Finney ’ s ’ who love the restaurant all the way through to grandparents . We ’ re welcoming to everybody and , whether you ’ re there on a first date , with three generations of your family , with the guys having beers , or out for a ladies lunch , it seems to fit all kinds of different circumstances or events and activities .”
Finney ’ s first opened for business in 2016 and , since then , has rolled out five more establishments throughout Southern California and the Central Coast – with three more coming soon .
Gausman & Moore , a division of Ayres , has completed the mechanical , plumbing , and electrical engineering on seven of the restaurants , beginning with the Ventura location in the fall of 2018 . The team is currently in the final stages of design of the upcoming Laguna Beach location .
Breaking it Down
As one might imagine , designing a building ’ s infrastructure is no small undertaking . Between , above , and below each location ’ s four walls are intricate workings of piping , ducting , heating and cooling elements , refrigerant lines , and more – all performing critical functions , albeit unbeknownst to guests .
