NIENOW PROMOTED TO AERIAL MAPPING MANAGER
Zachary Nienow was named Ayres ’ new manager of aerial mapping . Nienow is well equipped to lead the Aerial Mapping group , having proved himself as he managed the Wisconsin Regional Orthoimagery Consortium along with large and complex utility mapping projects across the country .
Nienow has been in the geospatial industry for 17 years and has managed hundreds of our projects . His most substantial project accomplishment has been as program manager for Wisconsin ’ s statewide 2020 digital orthoimagery and elevation
data program , known as WROC . Nienow ’ s leadership and perseverance guided the surefooted delivery of data products to over 100 clients after executing the collection of aerial imagery and lidar touching all 72 Wisconsin counties – all while navigating the unprecedented uncertainty of the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic .
IVIE NAMED MANAGER OF MUNICIPAL DESIGN & CEI
Matthew Ivie was promoted to manager of the municipal design and Construction Engineering and Inspection ( CEI ) services group in Ayres ’ Southeast Operations .
Ivie had served as a project manager and design engineer during his approximately 15 years working in civil site design , stormwater management , grading , drainage , water , wastewater , pumping stations , permitting , plan preparation , and utility relocations . His civil design work has involved pavement and site design , sewer and water mains , roadways , utilities , and parks . He also is experienced in field inspection and construction observation . Ivie is committed to his profession and his community , serving as chairman of the Pinellas County Utility Group in 2019-2020 .
Ivie is a registered professional engineer in Florida and holds a bachelor ’ s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology .
AYRES HIRES LAND SURVEYOR TO LEAD PROJECTS IN WEST
Land Surveyor Brian Helminiak recently joined Ayres ’ Fort Collins , Colorado , staff and will lead survey projects completed for private and public sector clients in the West .
Helminiak ’ s more than 20 years of experience encompasses managing survey crews and technicians and completing office and field work , including construction staking and boundary , topographic , ALTA , and land title surveying .
Nienow has served on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Land Information Association since 2016 , including taking on the job of WLIA president this year . Nienow says he enjoys working with his peers around the state on WLIA ’ s endeavors in statewide mapping programs , land information legislation , and educational and networking events .
Nienow is a certified geographic information systems professional ( GISP ) and holds a bachelor ’ s degree in cartography / GIS and physical geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison .
He is a registered professional land surveyor in Colorado and Utah and holds an associate of applied science degree in science and mathematics from Erie Community College in Williamsville , New York .
