Bennette has been pleased with those

“Oh, they’ve turned out great,” he
said, commending the Ayres team
– led by project manager Daryl
Myers – for their professionalism and
efficiency.
“It’s been great working with them,”
he said. “They’re always quick to
turn things around. We needed

around in a day or less. When we’ve
had needs come up, Daryl and Ayres
have been great about getting the
information back to us in a timely
fashion.”
Rachel Rhoden, deputy county
manager of Bradford County, agreed.
She said that adding sidewalk
along County Road 18 – a project
undertaken at the County’s request –
more than met their primary goal of
providing enhanced facilities for users.
“The project now provides a smooth
concrete surface for pedestrians and
bicyclists,” Rhoden said. “We are
happy with the outcome of the final
project.”

Myers said he’s enjoyed the variety
of projects the contract has brought
– and the engineering involved in
finding solutions to their individual
issues.
“You have to put a sidewalk into an
existing right-of-way and not impact
the drainage, not impact the utilities,
not impact the wetlands … You pretty
much have to put a square peg
into a round hole, and it has to fit,”
Myers said. “You go through several
iterations at the beginning. Every
one of them is different, and it just
depends on the certain situation.”
