The view was a key aspect of the design in a brand new rural lodge-style home, Davy says. “The owners wanted to take in the waterway while soaking in a tub and weren’t concerned with privacy as the home is on a secluded site.” While space for the bathroom had already been allocated, she was able to achieve this by tweaking the layout to allow for a bay window at the end of the room with sufficient space for a large tub trained on the river setting. Another request was that the homeowners be able to shower side by side, each with their own showerhead options. To achieve this and avoid interrupting the outlook, Davy designed a glass-fronted, open-ended, dual-entry shower stall.
