Celia Visser says that having one flat surface in
such a large space would have been too much.
Tiles on the wall behind the bath add a textural
element, and a similar effect is also seen in the
design of the vanity mirror. Meanwhile black tiles
on the balance of the wall and floor surfaces are
lightly veined to add interest.
