Right: A disused fireplace alcove
was retained in the comprehensive
bathroom renovation. This was lined
in the same lace-pattern, large-
format porcelain tiles as the walls,
and repurposed as a storage niche
for the adjacent freestanding tub.
The ornate ceiling mouldings are
another classic touch balancing the
bathroom’s more modern accents.
