One of
a kind
Every new project from
Kitchens By Design
reflects an individual
design response
They say imitation is a form of flattery,
but most people would prefer a kitchen
that makes a unique design statement.
And that’s exactly as it should be,
say the designers at Kitchens By Design.
Because every household and every space
is different, every kitchen designed by the
company is a custom project.
This kitchen, for example, designed
by Sue Gillbanks of Kitchens By Design,
has a strong connection with the outdoors.
The colours and materials were chosen to
provide a visual link to the bush beyond.
The kitchen cabinets, painted to match
Aalto Cornerstone, enhance this connection. The designer says the colour also
gets away from the white-on-white look
that defines many contemporary kitchens.
Other materials in the kitchen include
a timber floor and benchtops in Silestone
Lyra with a suede finish. Recessed handles
reinforce the modern, minimalist design.
So too, does a large slider window that is
flush with the benchtop, which helps to
bring the outdoors in.
Kitchens By Design oversees every
project through design, manufacture and
installation.
The company’s success is reflected in
the 70+ design awards it has won since its
inception in 1989.
