For more than a decade , Ayres has collaborated with the City of Medford , Wisconsin , as one of its primary engineering firms on a wide array of the City ’ s projects . storm sewer would have been laid too close to a dam . If the water level were raised too much , it would have resulted in a catastrophic failure and washed out the dam . With the problem recognized early , Ayres ’ civil and water resources engineers made sure that necessary precautions were put in place to avoid such a disaster . Through the years , Ayres and the City have built a relationship based on communication , trust , and mutual consensus . This year , Ayres continued that history with two street projects and a water main replacement – and is , as always , ready to respond when needed .
