Letter From The Editor

We are thankful for the amazing educators we have the opportunity to work for and with every day.Working in the education world should be a passion and a calling, both for those of you in the classroom and people like our staff who work for organizations devoted to supporting educators, students and support personnel.

Things are heating up at the Capitol in preparation for the upcoming legislative session. We have already begun meeting with key policymakers, and are working on some great new ways to keep you informed and engaged. We are excited be actively involved in what is sure to be an interesting year for education policy. Go ahead and sign up for the ProEd Advocacy email list now to keep up with the latest happenings during the legislative session and learn more about how you can get involved and make sure teachers' voices are heard.

Preparations for the next Leader U professional development conference are underway as well. This year we will return to the Cool Springs Mariott. Mark your calendars for June 20th, 2015, and follow Leader U on Facebook and Twitter to be notified when registration opens. There will be a Friday night meet & greet again this year, so don't forget to check out the special rates for conference attendees at nearby hotels when they are posted at www.leaderutn.com.

Have you noticed all the great new webinars lately? There is a new webinar almost every week, incorporating a couple of great monthly series including LawTalk© and Leadership & Advocacy. Details on upcoming and recent webinars can be found on the event calendar and in the professional development Resources section of the website.
