Deep mortising & grooving gives good chip clearance.
For lock mortising, two width cuts will be needed to
achieve the standard 19mm mortise.
The lock mortiser Ref. 5/53 will plunge and clear
chips to a depth of 70mm in a number of passes.
Tools have extra long shanks. Adjust the cutter
in the collet to achieve maximum plunge depth.
For Ref. 5/53 take several passes to avoid
cutter breakage &
motor overload.
