AN OCEANSIDE
OASIS
For most of us, going on vacation means relaxing and unplugging,
wishing that we could just move into the hotel and stay on vacation
forever. A Refresh Fitness Retreat is different in that you willingingly
allow your butt to be kicked and are open to eating in a brand new
way. I’m sure you’re thinking, “Working out on vacation? Yeah right.
Nice try.” But before you write this off, let us share our experience.
Through this trip our group of sixteen Refeshers combined the eyeopening experience of travel with clean eating, fitness training, and
learning skills to reset and balance our life.
Pedregal provided incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and the
beautiful rocky terrain of Cabo. The hills were perfect for killer
workouts which included too many lunges and sprints on those
cobblestone streets to count!
Each day is filled with two-a-day workouts, one in the morning and
one late afternoon. Every workout was different and incorporated the
surroundings including: running hills, working out with sand bags at
the beach, cycling, TRX work, boxing, and yoga at sunset.
The real difference of a fitness getaway is the opportunity to take
four or five days just to focus on yourself. In our busy lives that just
doesn’t happen at home. This is why creating a time and place
away from the pressures of daily life to reset what you are doing
for yourself physically, nutritionally, and mentally can be so life
changing. Like memories from your travel, you will carry those skills
back with you long after you are home.
