Letter from the Editor
Value of genuine authentic experiences; the anthem of our heartbeats;
the reason for our song; the livelihood of every breathtaking moment
that is what we live for. Spring is the season of sweet sticky nectar, lush
life exploding around every corner, fresh earthy air, and the heat of
the sun gently lulling us. This spring we experienced beautiful parts of
the world and explored mother nature in the most vulnerable state, in
swimwear.
This issue we are taking our readers outdoors, to cultivate authentic
experiences that aren’t hindered by fit and the confidence of swimsuits.
Swimsuits make or break our perspective and connection with the way
we experience the most life giving season, spring.
If you’re like me, the word swimwear haunts you with traumatizing
memories of wardrobe malfunctions. I’ve spent too many summers
wearing the wrong fitting suit. For a lot of us, our bodies are constantly
changing and evolving their shape. No one wants to be THAT girl in
a swimsuit, but let’s admit it, we’ve all been there. Caught wearing
suit that we outgrew, flopping all over the place as we run, jumping
into a pool with too big of bottoms, and... down they go, or worse, that
occasional nip slip. Awkward. It’s embarrassing, and wearing the wrong
suit is the culprit.
To help accentuate the beauty and uniqueness in every woman, we’ve
broken down swimsuit fits into body shapes. We categorized our
findings into four of the most common body shapes; the Foxy Boxy, the
Perfect Pear, the Flat & Fabulous, and the Lady of Curves. Our goal is
to not categorize the body, but to help with the mixing and matching of
suit styles to get the perfect fit swimsuit, whatever your body shape!
So next time you’re taking a dip into the water, reading a book
on a lawn chair, or exploring the outdoors in your swimsuit,
you’re ready to cannonball with confidence!
