While Harrison Boulevard is recognized as one of the most iconic streets in Idaho today, in 1890, it was a different story. Idaho was still a territory and on the crest of statehood. Political stalling and partisan policies had slowed down the expansion of the United States, and it had been over

a decade since a state had been added to the Union.
