“The most challenging situation I've been through thus
far in my life is the loss of my grandfather in September
2013 to cancer. My grandfather was one of my biggest
fans both on and off the softball field. He would come to
all of our local games and cheer us all on from his chair.
The start of our season this year was a little harder for me
since my biggest fan wasn't there to route us on, but
knowing he was there in spirit helped get me through the
games.”
