Michael’s background was extreme marketing. He had determined that there was a huge market for weddings that had budgets that were too low for the going rate for DJs and photographers. They put together a business model even before the recession to offer top talent at greatly reduced prices. With huge increases in online shopping combined with the death of results from Yellow Page advertising, there was a lot of great talent that were not getting many bookings. Michael’s plan was to book weddings and events at greatly reduced prices and offer those bookings to top talent as fill-in gigs a week or 2 before the event, giving them every opportunity to book a full paying gig.
